Bill Grogan, Jr. began teaching gymnastics in 1980 at the Paragould Community Center on North 12th Street. He continued teaching there until July 1986 when he opened Champions Gymnastics Center in a little building at 206 W. Kingshighway in Paragould.
In February 1987, Bill and Sharon purchased the building
located at 110 W. Highland in Paragould. This building needed renovation before classes could begin here. Partitions were removed, the inside gutted and a new roof added. Finally in October 1987 they were able to move in and begin classes.

Over the years Champions continued to grow in numbers. On April 19, 2010, Champions broke ground for a new addition that would almost double the gym in size and give us both a recreational gym and a team gym. Over the course of 2010 spring and summer, construction slowly progressed. On August 2, 2010, the first workouts in the new gym were held.
Champions continues to grow and make changes and improvements. |
